From Seeing to Acting
A camera detecting an object is only the beginning.
The robot has to understand where the object is, how it is positioned, what state it is in, and what action should follow.
Vision can provide that information continuously, allowing the robotic system to adjust its movement as parts, positions, and conditions change.
Work With Variation
Objects may arrive rotated, partially occluded, mixed together, or in slightly different locations.
Perception gives the robot a way to deal with that uncertainty.
Depending on the task, the system can identify parts, estimate position and orientation, select targets, verify conditions, and guide the robot through the required action.
Connect Perception to Control
The perception system is developed as part of the robotic loop rather than as a separate camera application.
What the robot sees can influence motion planning, grasp selection, manipulation, inspection, and the next action in the sequence.
